Fundación Proa presents the monumental site-specific installation Giros (Turns), conceived by the architects Nicolas Campodónico and Mariano Clusellas, a work made entirely of steel’s sheet.

With the simple gesture of changing the natural shape of the sheet metal coil and placing it in another context, the original proposal redefines both the material and the public space so that the sidewalk becomes a new setting for the family audience and the citizens of La Boca neighborhood.

Thanks to the collaboration of Ternium, the installation invites people to go around appreciating the beauty of the material and its forms, as well as participate in the public programs carried out by the educational department of Proa during the weekends.

Giros (Turns) continues a tradition of public art pieces on Proa’s sidewalk with examples ranging from John Hejduk's La Máscara de la Medusa, Jesús Rafael Soto's Penetrable Azul, Louise Bourgeois's Maman, Ai Wei Wei's Forever Bicycles, and Whirligig by Dan Graham.
