Nazareno Pereyra (born in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, in 1986) began his artistic practice while working as a laborer in a metal factory. He first wrote poems based on the objects and materials he encountered around him, while simultaneously participating in workshops in playwriting, screenwriting, poetry, theater direction, and clowning with figures such as Aída Bortnik, Laura Yasán, Celia Arguello, Emilio García Wehbi, Mauricio Kartun, Santiago Loza, Pablo Ramos, Pompeyo Audivert, Mariano Tenconi Blanco, Claudio Bel Martínez, and Juan José Campanella.

In the field of visual arts, Nazareno Pereyra studied in artist-run clinics with Luis Terán and Raúl Flores. He was a fellow of Yungas Buenos Aires (2019–2020) and part of the Boca de Fuego program at MUNAR (2020–2021). In his most recent solo exhibition, Las Máquinas no lloran (De Sousa Galería, 2025), he presented his first artist’s notebook, published by Tres Olas Arte. He has held several solo exhibitions in Buenos Aires, including Sin título (Smol, 2024), Ojo seco (MUNAR, 2019), and Oxidado (Centro Cultural Recoleta, 2018), and has participated in numerous group exhibitions such as DSTRCTV ART XXIV (De Sousa Galería, 2024), Ciertos destellos (Alianza Francesa, 2022), Terra Incógnita (Centro Cultural Recoleta, 2022), Cuerpos intermitentes (CCK, 2022), and La Venus retornable, presented at the 2017 Bienal de Performance.

He received the MPBA Franklin Rawson Acquisition Award for his work Automatismo de mi ego and the MPBA Emilio Pettoruti Acquisition Award for Último día para llorar. In addition, his work Automatismo de mi crucifixión received a mention at the 77th National Salon of Rosario.

He is represented by De Sousa Galería. He lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
