With the collaboration of Mexican Cultural Diplomacy, Secretariat of Foreign Affairs - Embassy of Mexico in Argentina

On August 10th, PROA21 will inaugurate an exhibition by the interdisciplinary artist Francis Alÿs, curated by Cuauhtémoc Medina, focusing on the iconic project *When Faith Moves Mountains*, which was carried out in April 2002 for the III Ibero-American Biennial of Lima.

The exhibition brings together a diverse range of archival materials such as documents, sketches, paintings, photographs, videos, and texts that collectively build the narrative of this work, which lasted only a few hours but has become part of contemporary art mythology.

*When Faith Moves Mountains* is an event of political motivation and poetic expression, a monumental action conceived as an absurd project and executed by the power of collective enthusiasm. It is also a story that has spread like a rumor and has continued to multiply from then until now.
