“El gran agujero negro de la modernidad”. De esa forma se refirió Daniel Rafecas al genocidio perpetrado por el nazismo. Fue durante la conferencia que brindó para cerrar el ciclo de proyecciones de“A Film Unfinished”, de Yael Hersonski.
Rafecas es juez federal, especialista en causas sobre Derechos Humanos y autor del libro Historia de la solución final (Editorial Siglo XXI, 2012). A lo largo de la charla, remarcó la importancia de “preservar la paz y las instituciones democráticas” a fin evitar por todos los medios que una aniquilación semejante a la causada por el nazismo vuelva a repetirse.

In the early1990s,GustavoBruzzonebegan collectingworks ofthe most representative artistsof thetimeon the local scenefrom aclose relationshipwith the artists.Currently,Bruzzonehas one of themost representativeand comprehensivecollectionsof that period, a sort ofrecord ofa decade, focusing mainly onthe productionsof the artiststhat were exhibited inthe gallery of theCentro Cultural Rojas, ledat the time by Jorge GumierMaier.

Thesethree collectionsare formed fromthe special relationshipofdialogue and collaboration withthe production of numerousartists.Ana Gallardo, Rafael Cippolini, Cecilia Szalkowicz and Gastón Pérsico made the selection of works to be exhibited at Proa.
Ikonicoff’s collection brings an outstanding body of works from recent years. Cecilia Szalkowicz and Gaston Pérsico selected some works for the exhibition.
En un video realizado por Revista Ñ, la curadora Véronique Wiesinger presenta en detalle algunas de las obras más significativas de la exhibición de Alberto Giacometti, empezando por la temprana “La femme culiere” (La mujer cuchara), 1927, y finalizando con un busto de 1965, “Homme à mi-corps” (Hombre de medio cuerpo), 1965, que manifiesta su estilo plenamente desarrollado.

Branden Joseph, Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at Columbia University, talks with PROA TV on the links and the legacy of John Cage in contemporary art.
Joseph participated in the International Symposium John Cage that brought together leading researchers and experts to discuss the composer’s work. The meeting was organized by Teatro Colón / Colón Contemporáneo and Fundación Proa.
In an interview with Pablo Gianera for PROA TV, James Pritchett, the american expert and personal friend of John Cage, develops some quotes from his book “The music of John Cage” and talks about the famous silent piece that marked a milestone in contemporary music.
The interview took place in the framework of the International Symposium John Cage that Fundación Proa and Teatro Colón / Colón Contemporáneo organized as part of the tribute to the great musician of the twentieth century on the centenary of his birth.
