“The Time of Art” brings together a group of over one-hundred works of art that transcend various centuries of Art History. Starting in the 16th Century through the 21st, we arrive to the present through the vision of the curator, Giacinto Di Pietrantonio, who proposes revisiting history through a dialogue between the ancient, modern, and contemporary.
This exhibition, which presents the iconic pieces of art history, counts with the outstanding patrimony of the Accademia Carrara and the GAMEC, Galeria de Arte Moderna y Contemporánea de Bergamo. It opens its doors starting September 20th through January 4th, 2010.

“The Time of Art” is divided in eight thematic nuclei, which show through the images, the problematics of humanity throughout time.
Power /Quotidian / Life /Death / Mind / Body / Love / Hate
The dialogue between antique works of art and modern and contemporary ones. Photography, painting, video, installation, together with renown portraits, bring life to this exhibition.
The curator summarizes a part of this exhibition in one of the curatorial texts: “…it must be assured that this Exhibition…deals with the universal themes by way of works of art dated from the 16th Century until our times…
Thus, we speak here of the represented and the presented, of that which questions, through forms and images, power, the quotidian, the mind, the body, hate, love, life, death, universal in copresence with time, space, and content.
“The Time of Art” inscribes itself within the tradition and revision of time within Art History by means of the survival of the Museum.
