Summa+ magazine celebrated its 100 issue in Proa Foundation
On June 17th, more than 500 people came to the event “summa+ 100”, celebrating the launch of its 100th issue of the architecture magazine. The guests visited all the spaces of the foundation and enjoy the current exhibitions: Urban Spaces, Corners of the Mouth and Block by Jorge Macchi.
- Urban Spaces: Contemporary Photography by Andreas Gursky, Candida Höfer, Axel Hütte, Thomas Ruff, Thomas Struth.
- Corners of the Mouth: Intervention at Café PROA.
- Block by Jorge Macchi: Intervention in PROA Library.
Martha Magis, general director of the magazine and Fernando Diez, editorial director, spoke to the audience remarking how the publication achieve 100 numbers -that correspond to fifteen years of hard and creative work-, being consolidated as one of the best magazines on the architectural world.
Martha Magis concluded that this anniversary confirms the spirit of the magazine, maintaining it’s bet on the future and opening to the new challenges of the XXIst century.
Some architects present on the event honored the work of summa+ not only for the importance of its articles but also for the edition, as an exemplar publication that is very helpful for the community of architects and for readers in general.
The publication is distinguished for the great quality of its photographs and graphic information, and its impeccable edition that converts the magazine in a collectable object.
The newest number portrays, trough 100 examples, the situation of architecture in Argentina and the World nowadays.
Summa+ edits seven numbers per year and It’s distributed in Argentine, Brasil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Spain.
