Fourth edition of Latin Wave Film Festival
From April 30th to May 3rd, the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston and Fundación Proa present the fourth edition of Latin Wave Film Festival, where will be presented some of the best films of latin-american directores, some of them recognized in the region and in the world and other new talents.
Sponsored by Tenaris and Ternium, this year the Festival has films of Chile, Perú, Panamá, Argentina, Brasil, México and Colombia, countries that will offer a different range of views and realities.
The films selected are “Lake Tahoe” by Fernando Eimbcke (2008), “Lion´s Den” by Pablo Trapero (2008), “Oblivion” by Heddy Honigmann (2008), “The Ballroom” by Laís Bodanzky (2007), “The Headless Woman” by Lucrecia Martel (2008), “The maid” by Sebastián Silva (2008), “The passion of Gabriel” by Luis Alberto Restrepo (2008) y “The wind and the water” by Vero Bollow and the Igar Yala Collective (2008). After the films, the public will have the opportunuty to talk with the directors at The Brown Auditorium Theater.
