GLORIA MOURE at 9 Curators Discuss Their Work
The 9 Curators Discuss Their Work lecture series continues with Spanish curator Gloria Moure. The lecture series is designed by critic and curator Gerardo Mosquera and organized by the CCEBA - Centro Cultural de España en Buenos Aires-, in collaboration with Fundación Proa.
With a presentation by Julio Sanchez, on November 24 and 25 at 6 p.m., Gloria Moure, one of today’s most outstanding international curators, will speak about principal aspects of his curatorial practice through a presentation of various projects.
During the first day she will focus on her work as curator. She will discuss about the Gordon Matta-Clark exhibition presented at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, 2006. During the second day, she will focus on her work as director of institutions and creator of exhibition programs.
In addition to the public lectures, the invited curator will participate in a program of activities designed in accordance with his specific areas of interest. The aim of this program will be to familiarize the curator with Buenos Aires’ art scene and to facilitate an exchange of ideas with artists, curators and critics. On this ocassion, Lucrecia Palacios will be in charge of organizing the program of activities.
The 9 Curators Discuss Their Work lecture series offers an opportunity to learn about the broad experience of invited speakers and to engage in critical discussion based on this specific professional activity. Between March and November, 2008, nine curators relevant to today’s international contemporary art scene will present their work in Buenos Aires
